Information You Submit
A name, phone number, or address entered in a search form is sent to the outside provider powering that result. Our servers do not retain a copy of that query. When you contact us, we use the contents of your message only to respond.
Information Collected Automatically
Standard hosting logs may record an IP address, browser type, viewed pages, and timestamps. We review combined traffic patterns to maintain the service and understand page use. Basic analytics and advertising measurement may rely on cookies or similar tools.
What We Do With This Data
We use limited data to operate the service, diagnose faults, measure traffic, and improve content. Visitor lists are not sold, and we do not create individual reader profiles.
Privacy on Linked Services
Links lead to Benton County and Washington portals, libraries, archives, and outside search tools. Data entered after leaving this site is controlled by the destination's policy. Sponsored search results are also supplied by an independent company.
Who Might See Your Data
The service providers that host and support the site process server logs for us. Analytics and advertising partners may receive the automatic data described above. We disclose data when a valid legal process requires it, and not otherwise.
How We Protect Your Data
The site runs over an encrypted connection and logs are kept only as long as the purposes above need them. There are no accounts here, so no password or profile of yours exists on this site to be exposed.
Users Under 18
The site is meant for adults and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; if you believe a minor has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your Data Rights
Privacy rights can vary by residence and by the kind of information involved. The project research identifies no single Washington consumer statute creating a universal deletion right for all records. Because we keep very little, a request usually means checking contact messages and available server logs. Use the Contact page to ask. Public records held by Washington, Benton County, or Kennewick agencies remain under those custodians' control. Chapter 42.56 RCW and specific confidentiality laws determine access or correction at the source.
Updates to This Policy
Any change to this policy will be posted on this page. Using the site after a change means you accept the updated version.
